Vintage 1986 Funtime Children’s Activity Magazine with Rainbow Brite Dress-Up Doll

A wonderfully nostalgic original Funtime children’s activity magazine, dated May 28th to June 10th 1986, packed with the bright illustrations, puzzles, stories and cut-out activities that make 1980s children’s ephemera so appealing.

Inside is a particularly lovely Rainbow Brite dress-up doll feature, copyright 1983 Hallmark Cards, with the push-out Rainbow Brite figure still present together with her colourful cut-out clothing. The doll has not been pushed from the page, although a small section of the green stand/base is missing, as shown in the photographs.

The rest of the magazine is a fabulous snapshot of mid-1980s childhood, with colourful nursery rhyme scenes, puzzles and colouring pages, illustrated stories, paper models and activities. There are some brilliant graphics throughout, including Mr Men characters, farm scenes, nursery rhyme figures and wonderfully bold period artwork.
A lovely piece for a collector of Rainbow Brite, vintage children's magazines or 1980s ephemera, and equally appealing simply for its fantastic illustrations and unmistakable 1980s colour palette.

Condition
Vintage condition with age and handling wear consistent with an original children's magazine. The Rainbow Brite figure itself remains un-pushed-out, however a small portion of the green cardboard stand/base is missing. There may be other minor creases, marks and signs of age throughout.
