Vintage Rowney Water Colour Box No.7 – Artist Paint Set – Studio Ephemera

A beautifully timeworn Rowney Water Colour Box No.7, a vintage artist’s paint set housed in its original metal case.

Inside sits a full grid of colour pans, their surfaces gently cracked with age, each one holding traces of pigment from past paintings. The inside lid still carries the original colour chart listing shades such as cobalt blue, gamboge, leaf green, burnt sienna and cerise.

These traditional Rowney student paint sets were once a familiar sight on classroom desks and in artist studios. Today they make wonderfully atmospheric objects for creative workspaces, writing desks, and art studios.

The soft turquoise metal box retains its original sleeve, printed with the charming Rowney illustration and the words “Non Toxic – Strong Metal Box – No Sharp Edges.”
